What data we collect
Browsing data
While you browse, the site records some technical data that the browser transmits automatically:
- IP address;
- browser and device type;
- date and time of the visit;
- pages visited and referring address.
They serve the operation and security of the site and usage statistics, without directly identifying the person.
Data you give us
By filling in the contact forms or the quotation request you may give us: full name, email address, phone number, province and town, plus the text of the message and the list of machines you are asking about.
We use it to reply to you. Enquiries stay stored in this site's database and, for the contact forms, are copied into a Google Sheets spreadsheet for internal use by our sales office.
Why we process this data
- reply to requests for information and quotations;
- provide technical support to existing customers;
- ensure the operation and security of the site;
- measure how the site and our advertising campaigns are performing;
- comply with legal obligations, in particular accounting and tax ones.
Legal basis
Under art. 6 of the GDPR we process data on the basis of:
- Performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (art. 6(1)(b)) — to reply to requests for quotations or information and for technical support to customers.
- Legal obligation (art. 6(1)(c)) — for tax and accounting obligations, such as keeping invoices.
- Legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)) — for the site's IT security, the prevention of fraudulent activity and for the server-side measurement described below.
- Consenso (art. 6(1)(a)) — for the measurement and advertising cookies described in the following section.
Cookies and measurement tools
The site uses essential cookies, necessary for it to work: they manage the session, the language choice and the list of machines you build up before requesting a quotation. These do not require your consent.
The site also uses third-party tools that install measurement and advertising cookies:
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) — measures visits and conversions coming from Facebook and Instagram and enables advertising retargeting.
- Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Ltd.) — site usage statistics.
- Google Ads — measurement of advertising campaign conversions.
You can block or delete cookies at any time from your browser settings; some site functions may then be limited.
Server-side measurement
When you send a contact form or a quotation request, our server tells Meta directly that an enquiry has arrived, through the Conversions API. It is an exchange between our systems and Meta's: it does not pass through the browser and does not use cookies, so it happens even if you have refused profiling cookies.
At that point your IP address, your browser type, and your email address and phone number are transmitted protected with a hash function (SHA-256): we do not send them in the clear, but they remain data that allow Meta to recognise a contact it already knows. It serves to know how many enquiries come from our campaigns, not to show you advertising.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring the effectiveness of our advertising. You have the right to object at any time, by writing to commerciale@tecnoastepangroup.com.
Who we share the data with
The data may be processed on our behalf by:
- the supplier who hosts the site and looks after its technical maintenance;
- Google Ireland Ltd., for statistics and advertising services and for the spreadsheet the forms feed into;
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., for the measurement of advertising campaigns, including the server-side communication described above.
Google and Meta may transfer data to the United States, on the basis of the safeguards provided for in Chapter V of the GDPR. The data is not passed to third parties for commercial purposes other than those described here.
How we protect the data
The data is processed with electronic tools and security measures adequate to prevent unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. Only authorised staff have access to it.
How long we keep it
- contact and quotation requests: up to 24 months from the last exchange, unless the relationship continues;
- administrative and tax data: 10 years, as required by law;
- browsing data and technical logs: a few days, unless needed for investigation in the event of a security incident;
- data collected by the measurement tools: according to the retention periods set on the respective platforms.
Your rights
At any time you may:
- access your data and know how we process it;
- ask for it to be corrected or updated;
- ask for it to be deleted;
- ask for processing to be restricted, or object on legitimate grounds;
- receive your data in a machine-readable format;
- withdraw consent already given, without this affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
To exercise them, write to commerciale@tecnoastepangroup.com. At the same address you may object to server-side measurement, which does not depend on the choice made on the cookie banner.
Complaint to the Supervisory Authority
If you believe that the processing of your data breaches the regulation, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).
